Guide Energy Types

There are four main energy types for the fifty archetypal perspectives. These are needs, preferences, zodiacs and emotions. Graphically, each energy type is a polyhedron with the corners resting on a sphere. They are all interlinked. Let’s explore them.

Needs

The six human needs were explored by Abraham Maslow. He identified them as a pyramid with a hierarchy. So, we start at level one and evolve upwards to the higher levels. In this way, the needs are levels of consciousness growth.

The six human needs as labeled by Maslow are Physiological, Safety and Security, Love and Belonging, Self-Esteem, Self-Actualization, and Transcendence. I’ve shortened the names into Body, Head, Group, Self, Outside, and Inside. The energies are the same and you may find many more sets of nomenclature as you view groups of six.

Graphically, the six needs make a cube. Each face of the cube represents an individual need. The Body is down and the Head is up. These two make a natural set of opposites. The Group is facing back and the Self is facing forward, making another natural set of opposites. Lastly, the Outside is facing right and the Inside is facing Left. This pair makes the third set of opposites.

To view this on the Humanity Gem Explorer, one of your three open windows, turn off any of the shapes on the bottom and then turn on the one labeled ‘C’ for cube. You can now click the rotate button to turn on/off rotating or just click on a face to move it into view.

Preferences

The eight preferences were explored by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Myers. They identified them as a set of four opposites. As humans, we tend to make our preferences habitual. This makes it quite easy to find what we prefer by taking a test. This test is called the MBTI. It asks basic questions and gives you back your habitual choices.

The eight human preferences are labeled by Myers/Briggs as Extrovert, Introvert, Sensor, Intuitor, Thinker, Feeler, Judger, and Perceiver. These are referenced by their first letters, except Intuitor, since two names begin with ‘I’. These letters are E, I, S, N, T, F, J and P, respectively.

Graphically, the eight preferences make an octahedron. Each face of the octahedron represents an individual preference.

To view this on the Humanity Gem Explorer, turn off any of the shapes and turn on the one labeled ‘O’ for Octahedron. The rotate button and clicking on any face is available for exploring.

The octahedron and cube are dual polyhedra. This means that they are opposite shapes. The cube’s faces are six and the cube’s corners are eight. The octahedron’s faces are eight and the octahedron’s corners are six. Additionally, if a vector is shot from the centerpoint of these polyhedra that goes through a cube’s face, it will go through the octahedron’s corner. And, vice-versa is true; a vector going through an octahedron’s face will also go through one of the cube’s corners. In this way, the needs and the preferences are opposite energies. This understanding is driven home by turning on the Cube and Octahedron simultaneously in the Explorer.

Zodiacs

The twelve zodiacs were explored by ancient man. They are literally cosmic energies and are sourced outside the human body. These twelve energies are typically viewed in a yearly cycle from Aries to Pisces.

The twelve zodiacs are labeled as Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. In this cycle, they cycle through the four seasons going from Spring, to Summer, to Fall, and to Winter. They also cycle through the four elements going from Fire, to Earth, to Air, and to Water three times throughout the year.

Each zodiac has a sign or symbol. For instance, Sagittarius looks like an arrow pointing to the upper right. Using this symbol saves writing out the full word and supports shortening the labels similar to the numbers for the needs and the letters for the preferences.

Graphically, the twelve zodiacs make a rhombic dodecahedron (RD). Each face of the RD represents an individual zodiac.

To view this on the Explorer, turn off all polyhedra and turn on the ‘RD’ for Rhombic Dodecahedron.

In nature, the rhombic dodecahedron shows up in garnets, honeycombs and pomegranate seeds.

The depth of the Zodiacs keeps going and ties into time and space. These can be explored later as we head into advanced areas.

The RD dual is the CO (cuboctahedron). The RD has 12 faces and the CO has 14 faces. The cuboctahedron has energies of both the cube and the octahedron (6 + 8 = 14).

Emotions

The emotions have been explored by me. These energies were found on the Humanity Gem due to wondering what was at the midpoint of a need and a preference. A seemingly overflowing chest of treasures was discovered.

The following information may change; this is my current understanding.

Each emotion is a duality which ranges from extreme pain to extreme pleasure. In other words, you can feel the same emotion and go back and forth between pain and pleasure. For instance, a pet may elicit your love and then when it passes on, you will feel loss. The emotion is the same; it has moved from pleasure to pain.

Graphically, the twenty-four emotions are a deltoidal Icositetrahedron (DI). Each face of the DI represents an emotional duality.

To view this on the Explorer, turn off all polyhedra and turn on the ‘DI’ polyhedron. This turns on the Deltoidal Icositetrahedron so all emotions become visible.

The DI dual is the rhombicuboctahedron (RCO). The DI has 24 faces and the RCO has 26 faces. The RCO has the energies of the cube, the octahedron and the rhombic dodecahedron (26 = 6 + 8 + 12).

Types Summary

There are four basic polyhedra and a few duals to round out the set. The basic polyhedra define the 50 archetypal energies. The cube + the octahedron + the rhombic dodecahedron + the deltoidal icositetrahedron add up to the fifty energies (6 + 8 + 12 + 24 = 50).

Each of these energies can become a perspective by you choosing to experience this energy. This may seem impossible now, but you can change your perspective at will and roam around these fifty energies. As you start exploring these energies, you’ll start awakening your personal gem.
